This semi-constructed Autumn/Winter evening dress collection looks at the craft of knots in fashion. The metaphorical Dara knot is used as a representation of wisdom, strength and immortality. The notion of durability is established by utilising sturdy, woven fabrics to support and accentuate the female form - in contrast to bouncy, lightweight materials to exaggerate movement. The structured silhouette and fabric combination is lead by the muse, Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen, a capable, dominant, feminine woman. Knots reacting to the body through moulage is key in developing the silhouette outline. Warm autumnal tones channel an empowering and confident aura, influenced by the power carried through ‘It Ends With Us’ - Colleen Hoover. Appliqué, detailing and machine embroidery embody the strong emotions translated from literature and film into fashion
