No Longer Forgotten

No Longer Forgotten Collection celebrates Sherpa heritage, bringing their stories to the forefront. With a focus on the Sherpa community, I have created a captivating outerwear collection that explores their culture and sacrifices. The collection features six ensembles inspired by the practical yet playful "mountaineer runway" style. Vibrant Nepalese colours are juxtaposed with earthy tones as a tribute to the Sherpas' extraordinary contributions to mountaineering.  Each ensemble is thoughtfully tailored to cater to the specific needs and risks encountered at different stages of a climb, mirroring the progression and challenges faced. This careful consideration reflects the blend of performance and non-performance sportswear in the collection, which honours the Sherpa community and amplifies their stories. To add a meaningful touch, I strategically incorporated elements such as front pleats to symbolize the five prayer flags, signifying their importance. This pays homage to the Sherpas' integral role in mountaineering. Inspired by their heavy loads, I have integrated deep pockets and detachable bags into the designs, symbolizing their responsibilities and endurance. The collection serves as a testament to fashion, athleticism, cultural appreciation, and the enduring spirit of the Sherpas.  It embodies the art of storytelling through clothing, celebrating their contributions and showcasing their rich heritage in a contemporary context.
