Collected Selves
‘Collected Selves’ an A/W27 knitted womenswear collection, explores the idea of identity through transformation. Exploring the concept of experiences accumulated by travelling and collecting pieces of your identity along the way. This project takes inspiration from the Greek theoretical paradox ‘The Ship of Thesus’ in which it questions if an object remains the same object after modifications, which this project embodies through transformable knitwear. With emphasis on intricate knitted patterns, the collection incorporates knitwear that can be changed on and off the body.
