Ugly Realism
The turbulent period of Weimar Germany, this collection tells the story of the large group of artists, actors and writers and their disillusioned view of their day-to-day life during this period. This collection will feature dark autumn/ winter colours to emphasise shape and texture. Deconstructing large mens workwear garments then turning them into a collection of casual oversized garments featuring large, irregular shapes which are emulated through drawings and photography. This collection is designed for both men and women in mind, every look is either fitted on a man or woman though all garments are intended for both genders.
